The Best Racing Skis
Head WC Rebels e-Race Pro
The WC Rebels Pro models are the ultimate on-piste performers. The Pro variants are instantly recognizable by their striking Speed Blue color. With a stiffer sidewall and a bindings plate also used in competitions, this ski is even more stable and precise than the regular WC Rebels models.
Featuring a traditional wood and titanal construction and EMC technology throughout the ski for additional vibration damping, the e-Race Pro is ideal for sporty expert skiers who want to tackle all kinds of turns. With a radius of 14.8 m, you can make quick, dynamic short turns or let the ski glide through long arcs.
Fischer RC4 WC SC
The RC4 WC SC is Fischer’s short-turn racing ski. It’s stiff, dynamic, and precise, perfect for skiers who can’t get enough turns on the slopes.
Built with a sandwich construction, titanal, and carbon for added stiffness and damping, this ski allows you to push the limits even if you don’t have a racing background. This makes the RC4 WC SC an ideal slalom carver for advanced and expert skiers.
The Best Sports Skis
Völkl Peregrine 72
Völkl’s Peregrine series introduces a new line of piste and all-mountain skis. Our favorite model from the series is the Peregrine 72. It feels substantial, precise, and confident, encouraging you to maintain proper ski posture and strive for ever-better turns. This makes it a great choice for skilled skiers aiming to improve further or experts seeking a reliable ski.
The ski’s standout feature is its carbon tip, a mesh of carbon fibers at the front that dampens vibrations and adds torsional rigidity. Don’t forget to check the underside of Völkl skis; the beautifully inscribed zebra pattern maximizes glide performance.
Head e-Power Joy
The Head Joy line has been a trusted name in the women's ski market for years. The e-Power Joy is the top model of this series, designed for the most athletic women among us. Head built this model similarly to the well-known Supershape line, but replaced the wooden core with lighter Karuba wood. This ensures a sporty and confident skiing experience while keeping the ski lightweight and playful. Are you a very sporty woman or aspiring to reach that level? Then this e-Power Joy is perfect for you!
The Best Comfort Skis
Fischer The Curv GT 76
Fischer has expanded its well-known The Curv line with The Curv GT models. This new series consists of comfortable cruisers for on-piste skiing and slightly off-piste. Thanks to the Triple Radius design, the ski turns easily and helps you finish your turns effortlessly.
The Curv GT 76 is the entry-level model of the series. This model is unisex, but shorter lengths are also available in a special women's version. Skiing with this model is a comfortable experience, and slipping is particularly easy. For those who prefer sporty skiing, this ski allows you to carve with ease, though it also encourages relaxation. If you're looking for a more sporty ski to master carving while still cruising comfortably, consider the counterpart, the The Curv TI.
Elan Primetime N°2
The Elan Primetime models have quickly become incredibly popular. This is no surprise, as these skis make sporty skiing accessible and familiar for everyone. Elan's unique Amphibio technology plays a major role here. The inside of the ski is stiffer than the outside, making it easier to maintain pressure on your outer ski. Always ensure that you have a left and right ski with Elan.
The entry-level model for women is this Primetime N°2. The ski is designed to be easy to ski with a sliding style. Even if your technique isn’t perfect, you’ll always ski parallel. This model is also available in a men’s version, the Primetime 22.
The Best All-Mountain Piste Skis
Head Supershape e-Rally
Head has completely revamped the Supershape line. The tip is slightly narrower, making the ski easier to steer. Additionally, Head has used more carbon under the binding instead of wood. This makes the ski lighter while still delivering maximum performance.
The e-Rally is designed for all-day skiing, regardless of piste conditions. With a width of 78 mm, you can ski sportily while also enjoying stability on slush and uneven slopes. The radius is suitable for all types of turns, although long turns are the most comfortable. This e-Rally comes with the Protector 13 binding, which features an extra release direction compared to standard bindings, reducing the risk of knee injuries in the event of a fall.
Rossignol Arcade 84
The Arcade 84 is Rossignol’s newest all-mountain ski. While the Experience models are accessible and comfortable, the new Arcade is built for speed. Thanks to the ski’s surface, it can be skied anywhere on the mountain, although we found it performs best on the piste.
Rossignol has integrated all their technologies into this Arcade 84. The Vibration Absorption System at the front keeps the ski stable on all surfaces. The Line Control Technology, a rod running the entire length of the wooden core, ensures stability. Lastly, a titanal plate under the binding adds extra stiffness. All of this makes the Arcade 84 a true speed demon for all piste conditions.
The Best All-Mountain Off-Piste Skis
Elan Wingman 86 Black Edition
The 86 Black Edition is the beast of the Wingman series. Compared to the regular Wingman models, the Black Edition is built with carbon rods. These are hollow carbon tubes that run along the ski's wooden core. This gives the ski a lot of stiffness while keeping it lightweight.
Keep in mind that this Wingman 86 Black Edition is not an easy or forgiving ski. If your balance is slightly off, you might notice some instability. However, if you maintain a good central stance and distribute pressure evenly across the ski, you can seriously pick up speed anywhere on the mountain. The ski truly shines, feeling reliable and offering a precise yet playful experience.
Fischer The Curv GT 85
The flagship model of the new Curv GT line is this GT 85. Its width makes the ski reliable and comfortable in all snow conditions. However, it’s also capable of sporty skiing thanks to the integrated Titanal plate. While primarily designed for on-piste skiing, its wide surface area and smooth flex make it easy to ski off-piste as well.
All in all, an extremely versatile ski. It offers a mix of sportiness and comfort, perfect for everything from groomed runs in the morning to slush in the afternoon, whether you're on or off the piste.
