The types of thermal clothing for skiers.
Thermal clothing
Skiwear should be comfortable. However, it is also important that you neither feel too warm nor too cold. Thermal clothing is therefore a real must have, because it not only regulates body temperature, but also ensures that you stay dry by absorbing sweat. There are different types of thermal clothing. The most common ones are made of synthetic materials or merino wool.
Thermal clothing made of synthetic materials
Synthetic materials are mostly made of polyester or polypropylene. The advantage is that these materials hardly absorb moisture and instead transport sweat to the outside. The disadvantage is that it doesn't insulate as well, so it's not very warm. If you get warm quickly while skiing and start sweating quite fast, thermal clothing made of this material might be just the right choice for you.
Thermal clothing made of merino wool
This wool stems from the merino sheep. This sheep is commonly found in New Zealand. The nice thing about this wool is that it doesn't itch when you wear it and it also keeps your body super warm. The downside is that it does not transport moisture to the outside as well as synthetic materials, but rather absorbs it. Do you freeze easily and therefore prefer thermal clothing that keeps you warm? In this case, merino wool is ideal for you.
As thermal clothing should fit tightly, there is special thermal skiwear for men and women.
